Auch auf dem Literaturplaneten hat nun der Herbst Einzug gehalten. Dies wird sich ab sofort in den Gedichten an unserem Poetry Day widerspiegeln. Den Anfang macht ein noch unveröffentlichtes Gedicht von Ilona Lay.

Regenlied

Mütterlich flüstert der Regen sein Lied,
umschließt mit den Flügeln die welke Welt.
Summend stillt er das schwankende Ried
und gießt auf die Erde ein Blumenfeld.

In schillerndes Gazetuch hüllt er das Land
und düngt es mit Perlen aus Sternenstaub.
Er schürt in den Gärten den Asternbrand
und streut auf die Flüsse das tanzende Laub.

Und wie sich die Lerche ins Nirgendwo schwingt,
das Segel des Herbstes den Tag beflaggt,
ergibt sich mein Herz in den Flüstertakt
und singt mit dem Regen, der alles durchdringt.

On Planet Literature, too, autumn has arrived. This will also be reflected in the poems of our Poetry Day. Starting off is an as yet unpublished poem by Ilona Lay.

Rain Song

Do you hear the whispering song of the rain,
embracing with its wings the withered world?
Humming, it quenches the wavering reed
and pours a field of flowers on the earth.

Do you see the iridescent web of the rain,
sprinkling the land with pearls of stardust?
Its breath sets the asters on fire
and scatters the dancing leaves on the rivers.

Do you feel the lark soaring into nowhere?
Under the sail of autumn that flags the day
my heart surrenders to the whispered pulse
and sings with the rain that pervades everything.
