Der Roman fasst das Gefühl der Entfremdung von der Natur, das aus der zunehmenden Vergitterung der Landschaft durch Windkraftanlagen resultiert, in das Bild eines Überwältigwerdens der Menschheit durch Außerirdische. Denn diese geben die Landungspfähle, die sie für den Anflug ihrer Raumschiffe auf die Erde benötigen, den „Erdlingen“ gegenüber als Anlagen zur Stromerzeugung aus.

Über die Autorin:
Rothilda von Rotortod lebt zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Rother Baron in einer gläsernen Blog-Hütte. Unter der Adresse rotherbaron.com können alle sehen, womit die zwei sich gerade beschäftigen. Dort finden sich neben einem Interview mit der Autorin auch Informationen über einen weiteren Bruder Rothildas, der in der analogen Welt zu Hause sein soll.

Sie zündeten sich eine Zigarette an und pafften schweigend vor sich hin. In schwerelosen Prozessionen schlängelten sich die Rauchsäulen den Windrädern entgegen, hinter denen allmählich die Sonne durch den Nebel brach. Flimmernd legte sich ihr Licht auf den Flickflack der Rotorblätter, die es in einen Blitzeregen zerteilten und als Funkensplitter zu Boden warfen.

They lit a cigarette and puffed silently. In weightless processions the columns of smoke wound their way towards the wind turbines, behind which the sun slowly broke through the fog. Shimmering, the light fell down on the flic-flac of the rotor blades, which split it into a rain of lightning and threw it to the ground as splinters of sparks.
